Circadin is for the short-term treatment of primary insomnia in patients aged 55 years or over. Primary Insomnia is insomnia without any medical cause or other clear cause. Circadin contains melatonin in a prolonged release form to help improve sleep quality.
CIRCADIN's specifically designed prolonged release formulation enables the gradual release of melatonin over 8-10 hours, in order to mimic the body s natural patterns of melatonin secretion at night. Take 1 tablet after food, 1-2 hours before bedtime. Swallow tablet whole; do not cut, crush or chew. 2mg / day
Do not take this medicine if: · you have been drinking alcohol, intend to drink alcohol, or believe that you may have alcohol in your blood stream · you are pregnant or breast-feeding · you are allergic to melatonin or any of the ingredients in this medicine. · you are taking any other medicines for sleep. Unless a doctor has told you to, do not use this medicine: · if you have liver problems. · if you have kidney problems. · if you suffer from an autoimmune disease. · have a rare hereditary problem of galactose intolerance, the LAPP lactase deficiency or glucose galactose malabsorption. · for more than 3 weeks. If you are taking other medicines regularly, consult your pharmacist or doctor before use. Do not use this medicine if you are under 55 years of age. This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or operate machinery. Contains lactose.
Store below 25°C. Protect from light. Do not use if foil seal is broken on first opening.
